Description
From reindeer herding songs of Finnish Lapland to Old English Christmas carols, explore winter music from various regions and traditions throughout the world; looking at the ways people celebrate and embrace the dark, cold season. Led by Kristine Barrett, both chapters will perform together at Toby's during Path of Lights in Point Reyes on Dec. 6. All voices are welcome.
Both chapters sing the same songs each week, and you're welcome to attend the other town's rehearsals anytime for a make-up or extra rehearsal. All singers have a total of 11 chances to attend a recommended 6 rehearsals.
The first three songs have been posted on our choir members' website. People who are registered can start practicing now.

- Point Reyes Chapter Rehearsals: 7:00-8:30 pm on Tuesdays Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26 & Dec. 3 at Dance Palace, 503 B St.
- Joint rehearsal for both chapters Wed. Dec. 4, 7:00-8:30 pm at Stinson Beach Community Center

About the Songleader
Kristine Barrett is a vocal artist specializing in traditional music and ritual song. She performs with the acclaimed Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble and directs multiple community choirs throughout the Bay Area including the Temple of Light Georgian Community Choir in Berkeley and the Headlands Community Folk Ensemble. She and her husband live in a houseboat in Sausalito with a myriad of plants, shrines and animals. Watch Kristine on video |
