About the Series
Spring is a time of renewal and growth. From Irish Bealtaine songs and Swedish Sea spells to Georgian hymns, explore the sounds of spring through the lens of traditional music from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Ireland. Explore the folklore, history and ethnographic context of each song while simultaneously honing ensemble skills: blending, vocal placement and quality, pitch, pronunciation and various vocal techniques unique to each tradition.
The same repertoire will be studied each Monday in Stinson and Tuesday in Pt Reyes.
New Drop-in Pricing
Regular: $25/class
Low-Income: $20/class
Supporter: $30/class
Due to the unpredictable need for scheduling adjustments, pricing for this series will be accepted on a drop-in basis. No advance sign-up is necessary – just attend any class and pay at the door. Kristine will teach each class in a standalone format, so that you can join any class without having to attend prior classes.
Drop-in payments may be made by cash, check, venmo, paypal or credit card ($1 fee).
Attend all six weeks if you want to get the most out of this series.
